This was a technical presentation.

The TechFest is geared for working slot techs and technical managers who are looking for a way to make a dramatic improvement in their understanding of video slot monitors, touchscreens, bill validators, hoppers and more with no-nonsense technical presentations from:

3M Touch Systems (MicroTouch)
Coin Mechanisms, Inc.- Coin Validators
JCM - Bill Validators
MEI - Bill Validators
FutureLogic - Printers
Sencore - Test Equipment
Transact Technologies - Ithaca Printers
Ceronix - Monitors

David Oldham of Advanced Electronic Systems, Inc. addressed the group as the first guest presenter at TechFest 12, held at Robinson Rancheria Casino in Nice, California. David presented a technical look at MEI's Cashflow SC66 bill validator and the FutureLogic printer.

Transact Technologies' Russ Wige discussed troubleshooting and calibration of their Ithaca brand thermal printers.

Wells-Gardner's Chuck Rabiola presented troubleshooting techniques for the W-G monitors. He also produced a really excellent troubleshooting guide for their monitors, including the U3000 and U3100 models. Each person in the class also received a CD-ROM full of schematic diagrams and troubleshooting guides.

Wells-Gardner also gave away two of their really nifty pettern generators for testing monitors. Pictured below are Anthony Long of Apache Gold Casino Resort and Ray Stogher of Konocti Vista Casino.

Sencore was represented at TechFest by Kristel's Ray Holdren. Ray is a well-known, no-nonsense monitor tech that works out of Las Vegas. Sencore also awarded a digital multimeter as a door prize. The winner was Lila Paterson of Chinook Winds Casino.

Coin Mechanism's Michael Harris presented calibration and repair techniques for their Coin Comparators as well as a look at their CCFL lighting products for slot machines.
